SIM lock/unlock pin code

'SIM lock/unlock codes' are 4-digit codes that allow a SIM to be locked and unlocked. The purpose is to prevent someone who steals a phone or a SIM card from using the SIM card.

Our Orange Spain eSIMs are delivered SIM locked and require a SIM unlock pin code to be entered before they can be used. None of our other plans are delivered SIM locked.

Note that you have only three attempts to enter the correct SIM lock pin so be careful to ensure that you use the SIM pin that has been sent in your order confirmation email along with the QR code. Note that you will be required to re-enter the SIM lock pin every time you reboot your phone.

We highly recommend disabling the SIM lock PIN in your phone's Settings.

THE SIM LOCK PIN IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE QR INSTALLATION CODE THAT IS REQUIRED BY SOME ESIMS TO INSTALL THE QR CODE.
